GROUP 2.251 CHROME WIRE LOOMS AND DIVIDERS
Linear Wire Looms
Using the valve cover mounting bolts, these handsome chrome looms
are positioned along the valve cover to hold the wires in a neat
parallel arrangement. The epoxy-coated divisional emblem is cen-
trally located for maximum visibility. The wire holders are open-
ed and closed individually with a patented nylon wedge to permit
the chrome tops to have a smooth surface free of screw heads.
Manufactured under U.S. design patent no’s. 298,798; 284,262;
311,487. 1 pair per package.
Technical Note: Before purchasing, check exhaust manifold for
correct usage. For clearance reasons, the manifold must not be
much higher than the valve cover mounting flanges.

12341997 — Wire Looms
Using the divisional red color, the CHEVROLET name and “Bow Tie”
are molded onto the black nylon head of each wire loom, mounted
on chrome stems. Fits Chevrolet small-block V8, 1959-86; Chevro-

Made of polished chrome plated aluminum, each divider is assem-
bled with a patented removable nylon wedge, eliminating the need

GROUP 2.277, 2.317 CHROME ALTERNATOR BRACKETS
Made of heavy steel and offered for the most popular applica-
tions, these brackets become a very noticeable addition to every
chrome-accessorized engine.
Technical Note: Before purchasing, visually compare your original
bracket style with catalog photo to ensure proper part selection.
Use a steel straightedge to verify belt alignment with crankshaft
and water pump pulleys.

For use with Chevrolet small-block V8 when top bracket bolts to
intake manifold. (Includes upper and lower brackets).
Technical Note: Engineered to fit applications with distance of
4" between the center of the hole in the intake and the front of
the mounting node on the water pump. The bracket’s mounting holes
are oval for added adjustment. For different distances due to
water pump variations, minor modifications or shimming of the

For use with Chevrolet small-block V8 when top bracket bolts to
neck. (Includes upper and lower brackets).
Technical Note : Engineered to fit applications with a distance
of 6 3 /4 " between the center of the hole in the water neck and
the front of the mounting node on the water pump. The bracket’s
mounting holes are oval for added adjustment. For different dis-
tances due to water pump variations, minor modification or shim-
ming of the bracket may be necessary. This lower bracket is in-
cluded with part numbers 12342020 and 12342021.

GROUP 2.334 CHROME BATTERY HOLD-DOWN WING NUTS
To complement the rest of the engine compartment, the tops of
these wing nuts are stamped with the Chevrolet “Bow Tie.” The
shaft of the nut extends downward 2" below the top of the battery
to prevent corrosion and subsequent breakage of the J hook. Man-
ufactured under U.S. patent no. 4,926,953. 1 pair per package.

GROUP 3.275 CHROME AND STAINLESS STEEL
INTAKE HEX BOLTS
Chrome engine accessories will be nicely complemented when they
are installed with chrome bolts with polished and plated top sur-
faces. These bolts are made with special tooling to reduce the
number of lines and marks typically visible on the sides of the
heads.

GROUP 3.402 CHROME AIR CLEANER KITS
These air cleaner kits are offered in two styles, the “classic,”
which reflects many years of GM air cleaner styling, and the new-
er, “high-performance” look. They are available with a wide
selection of divisional trademarks, as well as plain, and they
are supplied with genuine GM (AC) air filter elements for max-
imum airflow. Both the tops and the bases are chrome plated to
exacting standards for long-lasting appearance, and each kit is
supplied with necessary mounting hardware. The classic air clean-
er kits are supplied with special die-cast center nuts (also sold
separately) representing Chevrolet or GM.
Technical Note: After installing a new air cleaner kit, always
lower the hood slowly to confirm sufficient clearance visually.
The 14" air cleaner kits are supplied with 3" tall filter GM P/N
6421746 (AC P/N A212CW). For buyers wishing a taller (4 1 /32 ")
filter, purchase GM P/N 8997189 (AC P/N A697C). This filter is
available with a black foam rubber outer wrap as GM P/N 8996118
(AC P/N A644C). The bases of the 14" air cleaner kits are recess-
ed for a low profile appearance, maximum performance and hood
clearance.
Technical Note: Minimum clearance of 3 3 /4 " is required from
the top of the carburetor gasket area to the underside of the
hood.

GROUP 3.403 CHROME HIGH TECH AIR CLEANER WING NUTS
Available for GM, Chevrolet, Buick, Oldsmobile and Pontiac, these
die-cast air cleaner nuts are offered in two styles, in both large
and small sizes. The large size is recommended for 14" and 10"
air cleaner kits, and the small for 6 3 /4 " and 4 7 /16 " air
cleaner kits. For Chevrolet, there is a choice of both the “Bow
Tie” shape and the hi-tech spinner style. For the other divisions,
the hi-tech style is offered, each with an emblem showing the di-
visional logo, coated with clear epoxy. They fit both 1 /4 "-20
and 5 /16 "-18 studs.
