HOW EDELBROCK 4-BARREL CARBURETORS GIVE YOU OUTSTANDING STREET PERFORMANCE...

The carburetor is your fuel metering device. It has the difficult task of mixing air and fuel in the proper quantities while also serving as your throttling device. Calibration is the heart of the carburetor's contribution. An engine won't make decent power unless the carburetor maintains precise control of the air/fuel ratio throughout the engine's operating range.

Since a carburetor responds primarily to air flow, its performance can be influenced by every other major component in the engine system. By design, Performer Series square-bore carbs are refined to provide the widest possible torque range when matched with Edelbrock Performer, Performer RPM or Torker II manifold/camshaft combinations. However, these carburetors are not limited to these applications, they also match well with most stock and other aftermarket manifolds of similar design.

Each Performer Series carburetor is flow tested at the factory to check air and fuel flow against a master carburetor. Even correct idle settings are set to ensure quick, easy installation. Edelbrock carbs put fun back into your driving because of a unique ability to, as the saying goes, "hold a tune". This means, that compared to other carburetors, performance remains consistent and calibration is held perfectly. All Edelbrock square-bore carbs come with our exclusive Owner's Manual.

Manufactured by Weber USA®, Performer Series square-bore carbs are all-aluminum, ball-burnished and lightweight. There are no power valves to blow or plastic parts to break. The two-piece construction resists warping. Metering rods can be changed within seconds without carburetor removal. These all metal carburetors are also compatible with gasohol and blended fuels. AVAILABLE FOR MANY APPLICATIONS

Performer Series square-bore carburetors are available with either a lean calibration for maximum fuel economy or with a richer calibration for maximum performance. Eight models are offered for small-block and big-block engines. These models are for single- or dual-carb intake manifolds. We have a 500 cfm carburetor for Performer and dual-quad applications, 600 and 750 cfm marine carburetors outfitted to meet U.S. Coast Guard requirements and 600 and 750 cfm Performer Series models for the street.

STREET LEGAL PERFORMER SERIES CARBURETOR #1400 FOR CHEVROLET/GMC V8S

We are proud to offer a street legal carburetor for emission-controlled vehicles in the Edelbrock Performer Series lineup... Performer Series 600 cfm carburetor #1400 is 50-state street legal for all 1980 and earlier Chevrolet/GMC V8s (E.O. #D-215-10). This carb provides the same outstanding performance as the rest of our carburetor line. The #1400 won an industry award for "Best New Product" for excellence in the category of street performance in its first year of production (1993 SEMA Award).
