Designed for 400 c.i.d. Ford V8s produced from 1971 to 1982 with 2V Cleveland heads and 351-M V8s produced from 1975 to 1982. Will not fit 1974 and earlier 351-C V8s. Valley width measures 8-17/32".

Performer #1405 (600 cfm) - Ref. A, C, F, I, K, N, O - For auto. trans. use our #1483 & #1493.

Performer #1406 (600 cfm) - Ref. A, C, F, I, N - For auto. trans. use our #1483 & #1493.

PERFORMER 400 EGR (IDLE-5500 RPM)

Designed for 351M-400 Fords in one of the three following configurations: 1) OEM 2V carb and EGR system with supplied 2V EGR spacer; 2) 4V EGR system with either an Edelbrock #8053 4V EGR spacer, or an Edelbrock #8017 and Ford #E4ZZ9A-589E 4V EGR spacer; 3) For off-highway use, non-EGR 4V system with an Edelbrock #8714 adapter. Performer 400 EGR manifold #3771 is a stock replacement/street legal part for 351-M/400 2V V8s; 1974-80.

Designed for use with Edelbrock Performer 400 non-EGR and EGR manifolds (#2171 and #3771) on 351M/400 c.i.d. Ford V8s.

Reference Notes

A -- Carb will work with non-EGR system. 
B -- Carb will work with EGR system. 
C -- Adapter for this carb supplied with manifold.
D -- No carb lever for the auto. trans. kickdown rod.
F -- Use carb base gasket as supplied or 
     same year/model as vehicle.
H -- Carb has provision for evaporative canister.
I -- Carb has no provision for evaporative canister.
J -- Do not use Ford variable venturi OEM 2-bbl carb.
K -- Carb requires #8008 or #8024 stud, nut & washer kit.
L -- Carb requires #8003/8004/8022 rod kit. 
     Determine length before installing.
M -- Ford EGR adapter needed.
N -- Carb acceptable to factory cruise control.
O -- Carb has manual choke only.
P -- Carb is not a stock replacement part.
