All Edelbrock Victor Series intake manifolds have extra material for port matching and customizing to maximize engine performance. "Tall" manifolds have 1" of material added to the carb flange for classes that restrict the use of carburetor spacers. The following descriptions of the Victor Series intakes, along with the Reference Dimension chart will assist you in choosing the correct manifold for your race engine. Super Victor #2925 is designed for heads with a standard port location and the runners match the "flat floor" entry of the latest 23 heads. Carb pad height is 5-1/2" (from end seals) and overall, the #2925 is about one-inch taller than our Victor Jr. intake #2975.
Super Victor #2926 is for raised-port heads such as Pontiac #10033867 or Brodix -10X heads and provides the latest racing technology for groups like the NASCAR Touring and Hooters Classes. Super Victor Vortec #2913 is designed for racers using Vortec cast iron cylinder heads. It offers the same awesome top-end horsepower, throttle response and advanced design features as Super Victor #2925. Designed specifically to enhance the performance of the new Vortec cylinder heads (also known as L31), the all-new #2913 is the most powerful intake available for these Chevrolet production cylinder heads.
Super Victor 4500 #2970 & #2971 are designed for small-block Chevys with 4500 Series carburetors and modern 23 heads. Super Victor #2970 is for standard port locations and #2971 is for raised port heads. They have a large runner cross-sectional area (3.2 square inches) and highly efficient cloverleaf plenum design. In dyno tests on a 358-inch small-block, #2970 made 10 horsepower more than the best competitor's manifold!

Independent Dyno TestExperienced racer Bob Ross and Tim Glover of GT Racing Engines in Lubbock, Texas shared the results of their dyno tests on a 377 c.i.d. small-block Chevy with 6" rods, roller cam, and 13.2:1 compression.
