Thank you for viewing and bidding on the items we have on E-Bay. This page is to assist you in getting your order information to us efficiently so we can process and deliver your order quickly.
1. Do not every send your credit card information by regular e-mail.
2. All orders must have your legal name, address and phone number for delivery. Our carrier requires a phone number to assure timely delivery. Orders received without a phone number will be held until a phone number is received. Notices will be sent via email or snail mail.
3. Click here to go to our simple payment form. This form is on a secured site, so any information you send to us will be encrypted (coded) for security purposes. Please include all contact & ordering information, including shipping charges (if you have been advised of said charges) and the method of payment. If your mailing address is different than the shipping address, please type both of them in the shipping address field. This will assure positive identification on future orders and the required information needed by your credit card company. Information can also be faxed to us at 1-360-210-7659.
4. Sorry we do not take phone calls on Ebay purchases. We do take tech and question regarding brakes, wheels, suspension, steering, hot rod parts and our online web store. For information on these items you may call us at 360-210-5376 Pacific Time. Your call is routed to the tech desk and this number does not have any information on shipping or other questions. Please check your email for UPS tracking numbers. Please send all other "non-tech" questions via email moonmr@hotrodsusa.com
5. We accept payment in the form of wire transfer, Western Union, Canadian Postal Money Orders in US Funds, personal or business checks, money orders, and Visa or Master Card. Due to the low pricing on certain items, we will sometimes ask that you mail us a check instead of receiving payment by credit card. By doing so we can allow additional savings to you when we post the items for bid and on our web site.
All International shipments must be paid by Western Union, wire transfer or Canadian Postal money orders. No personal checks, Pay Pal or credit cards over on International orders over $100.00.
6. PAY PAL: We will no longer accept credit card or Pay Pal payments on orders or orders under $50. Nor do we accept Pay Pal on shipments shipped via Postal Service.
Why no Pay Pal under $50 and shipment via postal service? Because Pay Pal does not recognize "Stamps.com" as a method of tracking a shipment. Since they do not recognize the tracking there is no seller protection.
Sales over $50 we will accept Pay Pal but, only to a "confirmed address".
7. Wire transfers are required on where shipments are made to a "non-confirmed address". Or if Pay Pal does no guarantee the payment as secured. For wire transfer information please email us at moonmr@hotrodsusa.com
8. The cost for shipping is normally named with the description on E-Bay. If we have not already notified you of the delivery charges, please view the item on E-Bay for said charges. The actual cost of shipping, packaging (boxes cost between $1.25 and $4.50), export documentation, insurance and delivery to the post office is all figured in the cost of shipping. Please remember it is cheaper to have it delivered to a commercial address and "carrier" does not deliver to Post Office Boxes. Small items are often set up to ship by US Mail. If you want faster service please advise us by e-mail the method you wish your order to be shipped. Additional charges will be applied for this upgrade in delivery service. Items sold on E-Bay are intended to be shipped only and not "will called". Buyers requiring "will call" service can do so by pay an additional charge of $100.00 per item and items paid in advance prior to pick up.
9. International and Canadian orders will be shipped by UPS, Baxter Global or USPS. You may obtain these charges by going to: http://www.hotrodsusa.com/ebay/international.htm Charges name on this chart does not include insurance please add $3.00 per each $100.00 value or fraction there of. Example: Value of $260.00 = $9.00 for insurance.
10. Upon receipt of payment, we ship 90 percent of our orders the same day. Some items require more time to prepare for delivery and some items have to be brought in from the local warehouse and sometimes we run out of inventory and waiting for our stocking order to arrive. So these items are not shipped the same day. We only go to the Post Office three times per week so depending on what day we receive your payment for mail shipments (small items) could take 2 or 3 extra days before it gets mailed. The Post Office is a busy place and it takes 1 to 3 hours to perform this service. Please remember that we are trying to save you money by shipping the small shipments US Mail, so you have to be patient on the delivery by US Mail. We are on the West Coast and payments take one week to get here and another week plus one to three days before you will receive your shipment. If you need your item before 14-18 days, you need make payment with a credit card either by using our secured form on our web site.
11. We will advise you via email when your shipment has been shipped due to the large volume orders we can not provide a tracking number through with this email. Normal delivery is 7-10 days from date of payment. If you have not received your item within 7-10 days from notification you are welcome to email us at moonmr@hotrodsusa.com for tracking information.
12. Shipment lost or damaged are the responsibility of the buyer unless insurance was paid for at time of shipment. Buyer is responsible to notify the delivering carrier within 24 hours of delivery of any damage. Claims must be filed with the carrier and notification to Hot Rods USA. We will either refund you money or send you a replacement if insurance was paid for by the buyer. Customers not buying insurance that have lost their order in transit, will be provided proof of shipment in form of a Postal receipt showing the delivering zip code for shipments by US Mail or a "carrier" tracking number.
13. International orders will be charged a estimated amount based on the average weight of the item and our cost based on charges shown at http://www.hotrodsusa.com/ebay/international.htm We recommend payment by using our encrypted form or by sending us a fax +360-210-7659.
14. We have found that E-bay users have several different names which they use. Please write your user name, your full name and the E-bay item number in your correspondence and payment. If we do not have this information, we will not be able to close our E-bay item file.
15. E-mails should always state complete information. We have between 600 and 1000 e-mails per day, so we do not keep prior e-mails nor can we remember what your prior e-mail contained. Please be specific with complete information such as name, item number and how you paid for the item. 50 percent of the e-mail we receive does not have a name on it. Our data based searches by name and not you e-mail address or E-bay user name.
16. All sales final and no returns on Ebay auctions. If you wish to purchase any Ebay item with a return policy. You must purchase it on our website hotrodsusa.com.
