Independent Rear Suspensions
Independent suspension systems are what we know. We understand
that properly designed independent suspensions are rugged systems
that provide exceptional handling, control and stability to any
vehicle. As a design-build company, our Control Freak™ IRS system
components are built for virtually any driving situation: Street performance,
ultra high performance, drag and road course. Our IRS systems are bolt-in systems utilizing our
vehicle-specific cage and sub-frame connectors to ensure correct
geometry for that vehicle. Better handling, true performance and a
dramatic increase in unitized body torsional rigidity are direct benefits.
With horsepower ratings to 900 at the rear wheels, our heat
treated aluminum hub carriers, high performance bolt-in axles, racing
wheel bearings, and custom heat treated inner and outer racing
CV bearings make our systems the best available…period! Exceptional
handling, proper geometry and amazing adjustment capability
are our attributes. High power capability is your benefit. These are
complete systems, from the IRS cage to the sub-frame connectors to
the center section and our exclusive, bulletproof stud girdle. Choose

Design
Control Freak IRS Systems are designed on 3-D CAD using superior
seamless DOM tube, heat treated aluminum hub carriers, cryogenic
and specially heat treated bearing housings, racing CV axles and
bearings, dual bolt pattern hubs, custom graphite-poly bushings,
custom adjustable bushed rod ends, a menu of laser cut and/or
machined parts and SSBC brakes. Each IRS cage is designed to
strengthen your vehicle, and these systems perform. Strength, control
and performance are the basis of all our designs, and we believe in
pushing the envelope. Say “goodbye” to wheel hop, body roll, sloppy
handling and uncontrollable squat. All of our systems are designed to
make alignment and maintenance trouble-free with readily available
replacement parts and “no-bolt-removal” alignments. Even the CV’s
can be serviced without ever taking a wheel off.
Performance Levels
Our Gen II Systems utilize custom upper and lower control arms with
perfect geometry for your vehicle. Drive-axle sets are race proven
with 6-part strengthened CV bearings and matched to either 600 or
900 rear wheel horsepower levels. Coil-over shocks include manual
dampening valves and horsepower-matched spring ratios, all in billet
aluminum. All systems include horsepower-match sub-frame connectors,
seamless tube cage and Grade 8 or better hardware which, together,
magnifies performance and handling.
Our Gen III Road Race Systems go further than anything else
available. These track use only systems incorporate a series of lightweight
Watts links and arms that are designed to take the push, pull
and lateral forces of hardcore road racing. They ensure the rear end
is always planted correctly, regardless of the power at the rear wheels.
Available in 600 and 1,000 horsepower capability, the Gen III Road
Race Systems use lightweight and strengthened aerospace hardware
to give you the racers edge.
Our options include everything from custom powder coat colors to a
true chrome powder coat. For outrageous horsepower applications
we’ve even made our own reinforced center section that’s thick, stiff
and darn good looking.
