55-57 Chevrolet Disc Brake Kits

We have a wide selection of brake kits for your 55-57 Chevrolet. We always recommend the purchase of the Wilwood brake kits over the OEM (factory) type because of the amount of pressure that is required to operate the GM calipers. What you save on your initial purchase will be lost with the headaches, time and parts you have to buy in addition to the normal master cylinder used with a 4 piston caliper kit.

We now have a "Zero Offset" brake kit for this spindles. By designing a special hub this brake kit does not move the hubs out and retains stock turning radius. Add the Forged Superlite upgrade for only $200 to your "Zero Offset" 11.75 or 12.19 brake kit. Inexpensive addition to get a 9.5" caliper upgrade.

Note 1: Add "D" to the part number for Drilled and Slotted Rotors
Note 2: Add "P" to the part number for Polished Wilwood Calipers
Note 3: Moves the track out approximately 1" (1/2" per side). Requires offset wheels. Recommend the installation of brake kit before you purchase new wheels.
Note 4: Wheel in stock location with same turning radius as stock.
Note 5: Special 11.75 & 12.19 x .810 inch scallop rotors also available but these are not recommended for street use, because of the .810" thickness.
Note 6: See our rear kits for matching scallop rotors.
Note 7: Special kit for Heidts 2" Drop Spindles does not move the wheels out 1.25" like the Heidts kit. Moves wheels approximately .300" out from stock due the location of the oil seal and spindle spud on a Heidts spindle.
Note 8: Moves wheel out approximately .550" per side
Note 9: Includes 2" drop spindles moves the wheels out approximately 0.187"
